About us
Moving to a new country is exciting and overwhelming. We provide personalised concierge support for young international students on the Gold Coast, helping them feel safe, supported, and settled so they can focus on thriving in their studies and their new life in Australia.
Your family away from home on the Gold Coast
After spending ten years travelling across Asia and China as a hotelier, I eventually settled on the Gold Coast with my family. My first year here was a shock. The quiet lifestyle, vegemite toast for breakfast, grab-and-go sandwiches for lunch, and the biggest surprise of all: supermarkets closing at 5pm. Suddenly I had no choice but to learn how to cook. Growing up with my dad, a fantastic chef, I never needed to, food simply appeared on the table.
When I became an Accommodation Manager at an international school, I noticed a familiar pattern in the students arriving from overseas. They came full of hope, excitement, and ambition but many also felt lost. Some struggled to make friends, some battled homesickness, and others didn't know where to turn when they needed help.
I realised what they needed wasn't just information or instructions. They needed someone who genuinely cared. Someone who understood what it feels like to land in a new country, adjust to a new culture, and try to build a new life from scratch. Someone who could make them feel at home.
That's why I created this company.
My Story
Why international students choose us
We're local, and we genuinely understand. I spent many years travelling for work, so I know how overwhelming it can be to navigate a foreign place without family nearby. I know the Gold Coast well, and I'm someone students can reach out to for guidance and emotional support. Whether it's settling in, understanding the culture, or simply having someone to talk to after school.
One day my own children may study abroad, and I hope they'll be welcomed by someone who cares about their wellbeing. Supporting students here is my way of offering that same kindness forward.
Why we offer sports and activities
My boys play competitive soccer in an academy team, and my daughter competes in gymnastics and dance. Over the years I've watched them grow into happy, healthy children who thrive academically. Sports give young people a place to build confidence and grow socially, emotionally, and physically: all at once. That's why activities are at the heart of what we offer: they're one of the best ways for students to decompress, connect, and make friends.
Protecting students who arrive alone
During my time at an international school, I watched overseas students, especially young ones arriving alone, make housing decisions under pressure, with limited local knowledge, and sometimes with misplaced trust in social media listings. As a mother of three, I find nothing more meaningful than helping other people's children feel safe and cared for.
Why we offer day tours and sightseeing
When students arrive in a new country, everything feels slightly off. The streets, the food, the sounds, even the way people talk. Sightseeing helps them build a mental map of their new home. Once they've walked the beach, visited a theme park, explored a shopping centre, or stood on a soccer field, the Gold Coast stops feeling like a foreign backdrop and starts feeling like their own.
